Holland!

Ok- YES I am a slacker! I haven't blogged about last week until now. Here is the low down. Last week I planned a suprise trip to visit Jasper. His roommate helped me pull it off and Jasper didn't suspect a thing! I even called his boss and got him to give Jasper the week off! He was more then willing to help and actually pretty excited to play a trick on Jasper too. I didn't tell Jasper that his boss knew and he had to call in! hehe When I first arrived I woke Jasper up and he was very confused, "What....I don't get it...grumble grumble...your not suppose to be here!" Then it hit him...CRAP I HAVE TO CALL INTO WORK! hehehee After a long explination, which his boss listened to quietly, his boss finally says, "I know Jasper, Have a great week!" You should have seen his face! Jasper was shocked that I was able to do all that! hehe Anyhow, it was a pretty relaxing week. Holland felt like I never left or re-arrived. It all just felt comfortable and right. One thing we did do was go to an island called TEXEL (pronounced Tessel). It was Jaspers idea and even though it was COLD and WINDY we still had a great time riding bikes around the island and to the beach. If you want to see it on a map click HERE! It is the fartherst northern part of Holland! I waved Hi to Norway! No Joke! Here are some pictures...

The island had TONS of beautiful Sand Dunes covered in grass. This is one knoll by the sea

By the sea there were little islands that streatched out from the sand into the water! They were covered with tiny clam shells EVERYWHERE and Sea Gulls having lunch. It was really beautiful.

More sand and grass! hehe

Me on the "island"

By the end of the bike ride I was EXHAUSTED from the wind, but SOOO happy to be at the beach with Jasper!

We went and explored the other side of the sandy hill that met the beach...More Grass! haha

Overall it was a great trip, but after a rest on the beach and taking a few pictures we were ready to head home. What a fun day!

On our bike ride home I made a silly comment saying, "Jasper that should be our new home!" he thought it was funny and a great picture. So there you have it! =D

I am happy Jasper suggested this trip. It was really neat to see a different part of Holland. We really enjoyed each others company and it was nice to relax around soest where Jasper lives. Also, I got to see the VanZelm family in Naarden. They are just too cute! Sadly I didn't really take pictures....sorry!
