The Trip

Jasper first arrived in Vegas on May 31st. He got quite a treat by meeting family and friends. We had dinner at Andy and Meghans, met Jen and Boe. I think he loved meeting Boe because he got some guy time in. Boe is a cop and has TONS of guns. He took us out into the desert and taught Jasper how to shoot some hand guns and shot guns for the first time EVER! It was very fun to watch.

I promised a blog about my trip with Jasper. Here is where it will begin. The plans include San Francisco/Oakland June 2-9, Anaheim June 9-13, Vegas and Utah June 13-27. Jasper goes home on the 27th. It should be a fun trip and I am really excited.

Our experience begins in California on the north end of the western Coast. We are currently in the Oakland area (Alameda) and loving it. The hotel is nice and we have a view of one of the inner bays. There are sail boats docked outside our patio. Yesterday we took the time to relax and settle into a groove. Today was a visit to the redwoods. We took a lot of pictures and really enjoyed a relaxing day of hiking. The Muir National forest of Redwoods was beautiful. Here are a few fun photos...

We arrived around 3pm and the lighting was PERFECT coming through the trees.


The trees were as LARGE as expected. This picture really shows the scale of them.
