First-
Today is Sinterklaas Dag in Holland! Today is the day when all the kiddies in Holland get a visit from St. Nicholas. They sing for him and wait impatiently until he drops presents on the doorstep, with the help of Zwarte Piet of course (kinda like elfs, but black! lol). It is an exciting day ...So happy Sinterklaas Dag!
Second-

I have to mention my Cute little Grandma Jo turned 100 years Old yesterday! WOW! She is such a caring and amazing lady. I wish everyone could learn from her. Congratulations Grandma! She did a radio show on friday with CBS. My cousin posted it on her blog. She is soo cute. If you want to get to know her a little you should go check it out. . . Here!
Third-
I am once agan CHALLENGING Becky-Sue to a duel! It seems that this year we aren't in an exciting new country living as nanny's so we can't find reasons to blog! There are PLENTY of reasons to blog and I need moral support from a fellow blogger! Becky- here are the terms. We are to blog No less than 3 times a week. I know we have busy lives, but that should be fair enough. If either of us falter then one owes the other dinner! I hereby SLAP* you with a leather glove!

Fourth-
De Kas! I e-mailed the head Chef at a resturant in Amsterdam about 6-8months ago. In return I was able to have an interview with him when I visited in October. I know this is late notice, but today is as good as any day to say that I will be doing an internship at one of the most AMAZING places to learn in all of Holland! They are so talented and creative there. I can't wait!!! Here is their web site if you want to learn more. .De Kas. . Oh and YES this means I will be moving back to Holland! When you ask? Well the weekend of February 20th!!!
Fifth-
Today Jasper signed on a new house. It is in a town called Amersfoort in the Netherlands. I am so proud of him and excited for this new chapter in his life. I wish I could be there to celebrate that milestone with him! Congratulations Jasper!
Last but not Least!-
Today is mine and Jasper's 1 year Aniversary! One year ago today we started dating. One year and one week ago we first met. We can't really decide which day is truly worthy, but either way its one year that we have been together! I am really excited about this. I don't gush about my feelings a lot, but Jasper is a pretty amazing guy. He has shared a lot with me in the last year. We weren't sure the whole long distance thing would last, but it has. We have visited and vacationed together...and now (the most important reason for moving to Holland) I will be moving back to Holland to be with him. We are very happy together and hope there will be even more happy times. Many of you have met him, but not all of you realize how good he is to me. There are not many guys that are as loving and caring as he is! He deserves more then just a quick blurb on a blog, but for now this is the best I can do. I can promise that we will celebrate to make up for it later! Thank you for a wonderful year, Jasper- Schatje, and I can't wait for what is to come in the following years! See you in February! hehe S(K)!
